CIB W070 in conjunction with Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo - Department of Civil Engineering  are pleased to announce our biennial CIB W070 conference for 2010. This will be from 13th -15th September 2010 in São Paulo, Brazil.

This conference comes at a time when facilities management (FM) is in a state of flux. The global crisis has highlighted the financial savings that direct interventions in FM can bring about. However, facilities management presents a more profound opportunity for organisations. Moving beyond efficiency savings, transformation through effectiveness presents a greater challenge.

The theme of this conference is “Facilities Management in the Experience Economy” and draws on the far-reaching implications of FM in a world driven by ‘novelty and experience’. Building assets become the stage, FM services become the props and the ‘experience’ itself becomes the value adding performance. Abstracts are now invited from international authors on a variety of themes, each of which has a bearing on FM in the experience economy.
